Awesomeness in Evergreen

I am getting good at picking the right snow ride days. It’s all in the temps and inches. My suspicions that Evergreen would be right for the picking was correct. I met up with Bob at the Stego lot and carpooled over in The Beast.
I like big trucks and big bikes, but that’s just cake for the snow.

Wet and Sandy

Wet was the tone of the day, but surprisingly void of snow from the snowfall earlier in the week. The singlespeed performed flawlessly, even in the wet sand.
Recovering from the Great Depression

Am I over reacting? The weather yesterday was pretty bad. I guess the beer didn’t add any happiness to it and watching The Lion King again (yes, The Lion King), was not exactly cheering me up. When that movie came out, my oldest kid was just a pup. I think that thing was permanently seated in my VCR. But, the weather finally broke and just before darkness fell, I saw a glimmer of hope that Sunday would turn out to be a decent day. So, I emailed my slowly expanding list of “people who I can keep up with” and set sights for Buffalo Creek.
Once again, the Buffalo Creek donut (that’s how us East coast folks spell it, so don’t give me grief about it being a doughnut – no such word) hole was in full force.
