Ride Reports
If you had one…

How would you answer this? An open ended question? I think it is a great statement and I use it everyday. Why? Everyday is another one.
This one was in California. I took the opportunity to treat myself to a weekend while in the middle of some business travel. I dragged my one geared bike from it’s resting place in Irvine (my usual remote office location) to another office in Henderson, NV. Then to the beautiful Thousand Oaks area in CA. Yes, all driving.
Today, I got to experience one magnificent day. Let’s see if I can describe each photo with one word.
START
A Passion Day

It’s become a little harder to have days like this with an 85% travel schedule, but I’m sure glad they come along. And when they do, I think they are even better than all of the other days I’ve had before. I guess that gives one something to look forward to . Cheers to the next passion day, which can only be better than this one!
The morning started with a white sand (my description of perfect snowy trails) ride out my back door. You know the feeling you get when you just touch the trail and realize how perfect it is? Yeah, it was.

January 27th? Really? Well, I guess this is the future of Winter in Colorado. In my almost eight years of living here, I cannot remember North Table Mountain being this dusty in the middle of Winter. I’m not complaining. It’s beautiful. I just want to know if I should start buying my beach front furniture now.
It did provide a great opportunity to show off the new trails. Now there are nearly 14 miles of dirt, right out of my driveway.
Found!

Wow, I was on the bike everyday of my four day weekend. Even with all the work calls and emails, I still got quality time in. Just look what I FOUND on my last day of the holiday.
I FOUND perfect weather.
I FOUND perfect dirt.
I FOUND other people having a great time.
I FOUND some new trail.
I found a hiding spot.
I found some cool stuff.
I found passionate peace and harmony.
I also found out it is time to retire my trusty Lumix DMC-LX3. Though it has served me well and taken more hits than I have bruises on my body, it looks like the lens isn’t focusing right :(. Luckily, I have a hardly used backup!
