Gravity

I had the chance to spend the day flagging out some new trail in Buffalo Creek with some good folk from IMBA. CoMBA, and rocky good stuff lovers. You may have seen mention of this particular area before, but to actually see the layout is a whole different perspective. In two weeks, this adventure begins. But for now, you’ll just need to experience it from what I saw,
For me, it’s about taking the chance to look around.

Patrol

I have been riding a lot in the Boulder area, specifically after work. Why not give something back at the same time? So, I joined the Boulder Mountain Bike Patrol. I did my first couple of hours last night at Marshall Mesa.
I hope you like the new blog layout. I think the other one was getting a little tired. This one allows me to place larger images.

I have been playing around with different cameras recently. All point and shoot, but some a little fancier than others. My favorite so far, is a Panasonic Lumix. I don’t think anything comes close to a Leica lens. Best part is that the Panasonic name makes it affordable.
Just An Update

So what’s going on here?
I haven’t posted any pics or videos in a while. It started getting a little snowy here about two weeks ago, so the skis have come out and the bike just stares at me. As soon as the ground gets a little harder I’ll hit a trail, but for now it’s the slopes. The band is also occupying a significant amount of time. It’s been over a year and a half now. It’s a lot of fun and we are finally getting some press as we move to more of a Me First and the Gimme Gimmees sound.
I’ve been planning some trips this summer. Looks like Tahoe for September.
I’ve kind of lost the passion for shooting video. I’d rather waste my time riding and it also seems like everyone is doing it lately. So, why should I bother with wearing five pounds on my head? I did get a Hero camera. Quality sucks but it’s not heavy. I may use it in the spring. We’ll see.
I am trying to figure out what I want to do next as far as advocacy or trail building is concerned. There’s a new bread of riders out here that don’t seem to get involved. Or, when they do it’s very self serving. It kind of sours me on doing anything for them, but the trails really need the work.
Well, that’s it for now.
