The Last Snow Cone

by on Apr.16, 2011, under Colorado, Colorado, Ride Reports, Videos

An even numbered weekend day brings the mountain bikers out to play.  Yeah, I just made that up, but so true at Centennial Cone.  What a great way to spend the day on Patrol with my favorite people.  I also played with a bunch of video cameras.

Mayhem Gulch was just starting to get busy as I start to climb.

It’s a very dry April and the trail is showing it.

There was just the occasional rider on the way up.  This would change for the ride back.  But, that’s fine.  Today was all about spending time on the trail, talking, and helping.

And of course, it was the views.

The last snow.

The steps to a perfect day.

It was an active patrol day.  Fresh tracks in the snow, fixing flats, and then my own sidewall tear just before the end.

Perhaps the best way to some it up is the video and the introduction of the Pedal Cam.
