The Long Loop

I roll along on an out of the ordinary cool summer morning. The wind and clouds of the night before are long gone, only to be replaced by the deep blue sky that creates an even greener hue than usual.
It’s a game that is played by us mortals, inspired eons ago on the temple steps in Greece. How far do we dare to push the God’s? How close do we dare to touch them? Don’t rattle this God.
One does not have to look far to find substance in a day. Wake up, feel the moment, breath the air, and touch the ground. It’s an amazing experience.
I felt like Icarus for a moment. The good part of Icarus. Soaring effortlessly. Swooping, gliding, with the wind in my face, and the ground beneath me. The sun at a distance, from a lesson learned long ago.
The journey requires distance. Distance requires effort. Effort reaps reward.
Where do you want to go today?
I want to stay here!
