Yesterday, I was supposed to go to JT and kayak the Lehigh. Due to the lack of moisture here, the plans changed. I drove down to Long Beach Island (Barnaget Bay) and did 4.5 hours of paddling in the river, marsh, and bay. The bay was nice and choppy from hurrican Ophelia, which gave me some whitewater to play with. I’ll be back that way again since it’s only 40 minutes from my front door.
