Solitude

This place is really best in the winter when the sand is frozen. In the summer it’s like riding on the beach.
I tried to work in as many "hills" as I could to get some kind of workout. The trail was very fast, and being all alone felt pretty good.
A thin sheet of ice covers the cranberry bog. I stop in my little fortress of solitude and ponder the day.
Twelve miles in 45 minutes and without switching a single gear. I can live with that.
